Website Copy That Gets Results
Great copy does more than tell your story. It moves your potential clients to take action, whether it's having them ask for more information, sign up for a newsletter or motivating them to buy your product. How does it work?
Through copywriting that reflects your business voice, while, at the same time, engaging your customers. Through Search Engine Optimized (SEO) copy that sounds conversational, not plugged up with random keywords. Through careful crafting and placement of title tags, meta tags, H1 and H2 headlines and internal links to boost your searchability ranking. Through meticulous editing and proofreading to ensure your professional image.

Website Copy
If you think of the Internet as Main Street, a website is your shop window. It's where you
attract customers with compelling headlines and relevant copy and bring them into your
"store" with links to the other pages on your site. Web copy should be written for your
customers, not strictly for SEO. A skilled copywriter will write conversational,
informational copy using judiciously placed keywords and links to maximize your SEO.
Blogging
Blogs are quick and easy ways to keep customers in your informational loop and give them a reason to revisit your website. Blog copy, like website copy, should be addressed to your customers in easy-to-understand language. You can blog about recent
developments in your industry, new products and general news related to your business.
A blog is a good place to let your customers know a little bit about you: family, pets,
hobbies, interests. Ideally, you should update your blog every week.
Email or Snail Mail Newsletter
Newsletters are great for keeping in touch with customers who have expressed interest in hearing from you. Keep your articles brief—you can direct readers to your website for additional information, which is a good internal link booster for your website. Be sure to have an "opt-out" feature on each issue. Newsletters can be sent monthly, with special
editions added if you have something time-sensitive to offer.
Press Releases
If you are introducing a new product or service, a press release is a great way to get the word out. You can send them to industry-specific publications or local media. Another option is to use one of the online PR services such as PR Web, which for a fee, will send out a mass distribution to hundreds of news
sources.
Articles
Seek out trade or general interest publications for which you can find an angle to tie-in your product or service.
Copy Editing
Before you send out web copy, a newsletter, a press release or other written work, a professional proofreader and editor can save you from potentially embarrassing typos, grammatical errors and unclear language.
